BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — New York Rep. Brian Higgins says he is demanding that the Trump administration provides more coronavirus testing kits to Western New York.

“This Administration should be acting in a proactive way to help communities plan to address this crisis responsibly," Rep. Higgins said. "It is horrifying that at this time we must instead beg for your attention. Our nation is already significantly behind the curve in our response to this public health crisis, and we cannot afford further delays in testing.”

Rep. Higgins expressed concerns about the lack of kits making their way to Western New York.

There are 20 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Erie County.
