BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Batavia Police have arrested a man after investigating a potential abduction during church services Sunday.
The man, identified as Bruce Sattelberg, was attending services at Everpresent Church when police say he left the sanctuary, only to return five minutes later with a young child.
The parents of the child were sitting a few aisles away and say they saw Sattelberg holding their child. That's when the father approached him and took back his kid. Police say Sattelberg then left.
Sattelberg was taken into custody and issued an appearance ticket for Unlawful Imprisonment in the 2nd Degree. He has been barred from the church and its functions.
