BUFFALO, NY (WKBW-TV) — Philip Klein says he always loved music and was in all the bands at Pembroke High School. These days he's working on music for movies and the new hit Disney show The Mandalorian.
Philip says "I grew up playing trumpet because of John Williams. Listening to Jurassic Park and all that. Then half way through college I decided why not just be the guy who writes all the music."
He's worked on films like the Joker and Christopher Robin and is part of a team that arranges music for The Madalorian. He Says "We take what the composer has written and put it down on paper."
Philip's latest project is a yet to released Sony Pictures Animated film called Wish Dragon. He composed the film score and then traveled to New Zealand to record it.
Philip Klein collaborated with another former Western New York musician Jay Dref on the Carol Of The Drum. A Christmas project that will help feed hungry families world wide.
