LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Niagara Falls man found guilty of second-degree murder and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon in August has been sentenced.
The Niagara Falls District Attorney's Office said that in September 2022, 35-year-old Al Villane stabbed 47-year-old Hollis Stewart on 20th Street in Niagara Falls. Stewart later died at ECMC.
The DA announced that Villane was sentenced on November 10, to serve the next 22 years to life in State Prison.
“This was a completely unnecessary act of violence,” said Niagara County District Attorney Brian Seaman. “Unfortunately the victim’s family, and now the defendant, will have to live with the consequences for the rest of their lives.”
