ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WKBW) — The mother of a three-year-old who died after falling into a grease trap at a Rochester Tim Hortons was working at the fast food location when the tragic event happened.
Police say the mother will not be charged in connection to his death.
According to police, the child climbed onto the grease trap on Monday, while the child's mother was working her shift. Plastic covering the grease trap gave out and the three-year-old boy fell in. He was not able to escape. The grease trap was located outside the Tim Hortons restaurant.
As of Tuesday, the restaurant remained closed until further notice.
