BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Emotional pain has resurfaced this week for one Buffalo family. 20-month-old Rian Davis was struck and killed by an SUV on Fernhill Ave back in 2016. Her family built a playground in Rian's memory, a safe place for kids in the community to play.

"Remember her for who she was, not the little girl who was run over on Fernhill," said LeCandice Durham, Rian's Aunt.

Rian's grandmother maintains the playground on 77 Fernhill Ave. On Saturday, she says she went to check on it and found the fence broken, toys out of place and a new shed ruined.

"You're causing damage to an already broken heart," said Leonard Lane, Rian's grandfather.

The family believes the playground was vandalized and want to rebuild. Here's how you can help: they're looking for playground items and donations through this GoFundMe page.
