MARILLA, NY (WKBW-TV) — The Marilla Country Store has survived two World Wars, the Great Depression and COVID-19 is not it's first pandemic. Owner Sandy Grunzweig says "We just keep doing what we have been doing all these years which is to provide for our customers."

When the pandemic hit Sandy and her husband Paul immediately started offering curbside service. The convenience was especially popular during the early days of the pandemic.

Paul and Sandy heard stories that some people were having a difficult time getting much needed groceries in a timely fashion, so they added to their inventory. Sandy says "We worked hard to get a lot of essential groceries back in so we have eggs and milk and bread and things that people need everyday and they needed a solution for."

Through it all Sandy upped her game on social media, making frequent appearances on Facebook. ""We like social media, it keeps us in touch with our customers. When the pandemic hit, it was a great way to show people what was available."
