PEMBROKE, N.Y. (WKBW) — A man has died after a head-on crash in Genesee County.
The crash happened around 3 pm Thursday on Route 5, between Back street and Crittenden Road in Pembroke.
According to the Genesee County Sheriff's Office, a car driven by Wayne A. Striewing, 54, was driving west on Route 5 when it crossed over into the eastbound lane and struck a tractor trailer head-on.
Striewing was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the tractor trailer was taken to United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia with minor injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
