STAFFORD, N.Y. (WKBW) — Genesee County Sheriff's Deputies have arrested a man who broke into a Genesee County home, stealing over $3,000 in cash.
Back on November 6th, we told you about a homeowner shooting a person who attempted to invade their home in Stafford; now that home invader has been arrested.
Authorities say 36-year-old Charles E. Cooper of Lodi in Seneca County, forced his way into a home when he threatened the homeowners with a metal revolver pellet gun.
Cooper has been arrested on the following charges:
- Burglary in the 1st Degree of the use or threatening the use of a dangerous instrument
- Robbery in the 1st Degree of a forcible theft with the use of a dangerous instrument
- Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree of property value exceeding $3000
Deputies arrested Cooper following his release from Strong Memorial Hospital.
He's being held in Genesee County Jail on $50,000 bail, and is expected to appear in Town of Stafford Court on January 7th at 9 a.m.
