EAST AURORA, NY (WKBW-TV) — When COVID canceled everything, Melissa Buckley was an artist with no place to showcase her work. "I thought about sitting around and not doing anything, but I just couldn't do that." she says. Instead she opened The Rusty Button on Main Street in East Aurora.
The shop showcases the work of more than fifty local artists who have had no way of sharing and selling their work since the pandemic. Melissa says "The artists are loving it, absolutely loving it."
The steady stream of customers are enjoying The Rusty Button Shop. "You are not going to find these artworks at Walmart or Target. They are hand-rafted, hand made and came out of somebody's head." Melissa says.
