BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Move over Goldilocks - this story is about a Royalton family and the three bears.
Three black bear cubs, to be exact.
The family got a rare opportunity to hold three black bear cubs on Tuesday in the Southern Tier.
Imagine holding a wild black bear cub!? These kiddos got a rare opportunity to do just that in the Southern Tier. How cute! The kids tagged along as DEC & researchers took measurements on the cubs & a subdued mamma bear. I'm told bears were reunited with mum after the photo-op. pic.twitter.com/mkc3gQ02TJ

The Department of Environmental Conservation had been tracking the cubs and their mamma. When the DEC officials realized that the bears had taken up residence near a private cabin property, they invited the property owners to bring their family and watch DEC researchers take measurements of the cubs, according to Ken, who's family owns the property.
WKBW agreed to not reveal Ken's family name, or the town where the family's cabin is, to help ensure the safety of the bears.
