Hit & run driver sentenced for crash that injured girls, killed dog

WYOMING COUNTY, N.Y. (WKBW) — A hit and run driver who injured two young girls, and killed a dog, has learned her fate.

Lauren M. Hallwas sentenced to a combination of jail and probation for her conviction of “Leaving the Scene of an Incident Without Reporting".

It was back on August 15, 2019 when Hall drove onto the shoulder of Dutch Hollow Road in the Town of Sheldon, hitting the two girls, ages 12 and 14, who were walking their dog. One of the girls was critically injured, the other wasn't seriously hurt. The dog was killed instantly. Hall left the scene and made no attempt to help the girls. She surrendered herself to police the following day.

Hall pleaded guilty in February. She will serve three months in the Wyoming County Jail and three years on probation.
