BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Murals painted in Hertel Alley have been covered with blue spray paint, along with the phrase "716 LOCALS ONLY."

The new public art installation can be found between Traymore and Colvin Avenue. 7 Eyewitness News introduced you to these murals earlier this month. At the time, neighborhood leaders said they were painted to attract more foot traffic to business around Hertel.

We have reached out to Buffalo Police for information on the vandalism. We will update you on air and on this page when we learn more.
