BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Buffalo is the place to be for filmmaking. From Fred Olen Ray to Guillermo Del Toro, filmmakers can't get enough of the 716. More films means more opportunities for you to get involved.

Casting Buffalo is looking for film actors, commercial actors and extras in the WNY to hit the big screen.

"We're looking for a specific look. Once you fit the physicality, then it's also about the skill," said Peter Johnson, actor and casting director.

The Casting Buffalo team is looking for audition tapes of you giving your best performance. Make sure you have good lighting, a neutral background, stay in the moment and try, try, try again.

Here's what NOT to do:

  • Don't yell or be too loud
  • Don't over act, just be yourself
  • Don't be shy

If you do book the role, you'll get paid.

"If you're becoming an extra, you'll get at least minimum wage. There's an opportunity to start a career or something on the side," said Kyle Mecca, casting director.
