(WKBW) — Freezing rain this morning lead to an icy commute. Freezing rain will continue today and showers/thunderstorms expected for tomorrow.
The freezing rain also caused power outages throughout the area. Amherst Police tell 7 Eyewitness News, there were 33 vehicle-involved incidents, 25 accidents, 8 cars in a ditch and a few trees and power lines down all because of this weather.

There were a few accidents due to the icy conditions. Throughout the morning, NITTEC reported congestion on major commuter routes.
