NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WKBW) — The North Tonawanda couple charged with animal cruelty after neglecting "Sam Sam," pleaded guilty Thursday.

Joseph Barwick and Dorothy Adama pleaded guilty to animal cruelty in North Tonawanda City Court Thursday morning.

Sam Sam was seized by North Tonawanda Dog Control in early May, and was in bad shape according to the dog control officer.

After receiving treatment and therapy, Sam Sam found her "fur-ever" home in early June.

Barwick and Adama will be sentenced in September.
