KENMORE, N.Y. (WKBW) — Former Kenmore Police Chief Peter J. Breitnauer has been sentenced to one year probation for stealing Hydrocodone from his department's medication drop box to feed his addiction to painkillers.
Breitnauer was arrested in October 2018 and admitted he stole the painkillers to feed his addiction in January.
If he complies with probation for the one year period, his record will be expunged.
Breitnauer also has to pay $1,000 and attend a substance abuse program.
