BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Buffalo Police Department isn't taking any chances with high winds and potential lake shore flooding on the way.
Late Thursday night, the department announced that both the Erie Basin Marina and Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Centennial Park are closed. People are being told to avoid the area.
A WIND ADVISORY for Chautauqua, Erie, Niagara, Orleans and Genesee is in effect from Thursday Evening through Friday morning with wind gusts up to 50mph.
A LAKESHORE FLOOD WARNING is in effect for the Lake Erie shoreline from Thursday evening through Friday Morning. Those living along the shoreline will experience rising lake levels and rough surf.
