DUNKIRK, N.Y. (WKBW-TV) — Dave Briska knows so much about the Dunkirk Lighthouse it earned him the nickname "Lighthouse Dave". He says just don't call him "Dunkirk Dave because that's the groundhog".

A retired teacher, Dave has been giving tours of the old but still operational lighthouse for ten years. He says that in recent years people want to know about the ghosts reported here.

According to Dave there are a number of spirits here including "one named Charlie and a couple kids". He says Charlie nudged him once "I was standing at the window and I felt a push against me and I was like, okay what do I do now."

Once when Dave was opening up the building for the season, he says he put his key in the lock of the cellar door and clearly heard a voice say "Get out!"

The lighthouse is open daily through October. Open each day 10 am until 2pm. You can get more information at their website.
