VILLAGE OF KENMORE, N.Y. (WKBW) — Western New York's recent bout of wintry weather is causing even more headaches for people living on Wardman Road in the Village of Kenmore.

On Wednesday, homeowners received a letter from the village stating that due to record-low temperatures and heavy snow the work is going to take even longer.

Neighbors first contacted 7 Eyewitness News about this seemingly,"never-ending project" in early September, telling us it had been a nightmare all summer long, and that it was causing a public safety hazard with the contractor, DJM Construction, leaving dangerous debris in their wake.

These pictures were taken by a resident in August highlighting homeowners' concerns.

Originally, the project was supposed to be finished by November 1. According to the latest update from the village, work can't resume until temperatures return to season norms, but add, "the Village is confident that this project will meet substantial completion by the holiday."
