BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) — Volunteers are helping a grieving family clean up, after vandals damaged a memorial park built in their daughter's name.

The park on Fernhill Avenue in Buffalo was damaged last weekend, with toys and playground equipment broken.

On Saturday, 7 Eyewitness News reporter Taylor Epps, along with other station employees, were among the volunteers who helped begin the rebuilding process.

The playground is named for Rian Davis.

She was nearly two years old when she was hit by a car while playing on the sidewalk with friends back in 2016.

The playground was built so kids would have a safer place to play in their community.

Here's how you can help.
