CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY, N.Y. (WKBW) — The assistant treasurer for the Chautauqua County Water and Soil District now admits to stealing $4,100 in county funds between 2012 and 2017.
According to officials, Debra Kelley took money she collected from the public instead of depositing the cash in the bank. The missing funds were found as a result of an audit.
Kelley resigned from her position and has agreed to pay back the money in restitution.
