BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — As people in Western New York and across the United States react to the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, 7 Eyewitness News is seeking to start a larger conversation about racial tensions in our community, and in the nation.

In the week since Floyd's death, people have gathered in cities across the country-- including Buffalo and Niagara Falls-- to protest police violence against Black men and women.

On Wednesday, June 3, 7 Eyewitness News at Noon anchor Madison Carter hosted "Buffalo Strong Conversations: Perspective on Racial Tension in WNY."

The half-hour special featured discussions with religious leaders, public safety experts and local law enforcement. The goal of this conversation is to give community leaders the opportunity to address concerns and propose a solutions.
