BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — So many local groups have proven to be 'Buffalo Strong' during this pandemic. Add B.E.G. The Label to that list, which is starting a new initiative to give back.

“The Winter Drive is a non-perishable food and clothing donation drive. We just wanted to continue serving and fulfilling our mission even through the COVID-19 pandemic," said Yung Anoma1y, a young artist leading the charge.

B.E.G. The Label is all about helping local artists reach their potential. They mainly work with R&B and rap artists around the state.

“Our motto is where creativity prospers. We’re all about helping independent artists get the exposure they need," said Yung Anoma1y.

But it’s not all about the music and the shows for these artists, it’s also about supporting the community.

“You know coming up from having little and watching the conditions we’re in, the biggest thing is to give back while fulfilling our operation,” said Yung Anoma1y.

They’ve done community cleanups in the past and now they’re working on a new initiative called the Winter Drive, collecting donations for the winter.

“It makes us look back at our roots because when you grow up with nothing and you start to gain income or popularity, sometimes it can blur your vision. It just keeps you humble,” said Yung Anoma1y.

They're looking for non-perishable foods and clothing, specifically winter coats. Their big goal is to collect 50 coats by the end of the month.

All donations will go to the Buffalo City Mission. The drive runs through the whole month of November.

You can drop off donation at their drop-off bin at 1645 Hertel Avenue in Buffalo at the corner of Hertel and Wallace Ave.
