AMHERST, N.Y. (WKBW) — Twin sisters know all too well how important frontline workers are to their patients.
After spending time in the hospital themselves, Kristen and Bridgette Brzezniak started KrisBrig Creative — a company creating hospital-friendly flowers for gift shops.
Tuesday, they spent hours delivering these gifts to 17 hospital and urgent care centers around Western New York as a thank you for our frontline heroes.
“We had to do something that really made them feel special, because at the beginning of the pandemic everyone was taking about the doctors, nurses and over the time it’s seemed like they’ve become forgotten,” said Kristen. “We just wanted them to smile and know that KrisBrig appreciates them.”
300 flowers were donated just in time for Valentine’s Day.
“It’s so nice to be thought of while we’re trying to take care of everyone else,” said one nurse manager after receiving their donations at Mount St. Mary’s.
