BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Buffalo Sewer Authority has identified the contractor who died after falling into a well at Bird Island as Darren Stevens.
The sewer authority says Stevens was employed by Quackenbush, Inc. and played a critical role on many Buffalo sewer projects.
Stevens was discovered around 5 a.m. Friday about 300 feet from where he entered the water.
The Occupational Safety and Hazard Administration is investigating.
