Buffalo man pleads guilty to manslaughter in connection with death of toddler

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — A Buffalo man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in connection with the death of a toddler.

The Erie County District Attorney's Office says 24-year-old Nathaniel Baker caused the death of two-year-old Jordan Robinson, his girlfriend's child, by beating the toddler inside a home on Theodore Street in Buffalo.

The incident occurred on January 7, Robinson was rushed to ECMC where he later died. Autopsy results revealed Robinson suffered multiple injuries.

Baker was arrested in January after a more than three hour stand-off at a home on Sanders Road in north Buffalo.

He pleaded guilty Friday to one count of manslaughter in the first degree and faces a maximum of 25 years in prison.
