Buffalo Diocese seminarian charged with DWI in East Aurora crash

EAST AURORA, N.Y. (WKBW) — Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced Thursday a Buffalo Diocese Seminarian has been charged with DWI for crashing into an East Aurora home.

22-year-old Kevin Eggert of Cheektowaga crashed into a home on Knox Road near Christ the King seminary in East Aurora on May 7th.

Eggert faces the following charges:

  • Failure to keep right on a two lane road
  • Moved from lane unsafely
  • Failed to yield right of way to emergency vehicle
  • Speed violation, speed in zone
  • Speed violation, unreasonable speed
  • No seat belt, driver

Eggert was released on his own recognizance and is due back in court June 19th.
