Buffalo begins accepting applications for police exam

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The City of Buffalo is now accepting applications for the 2019 police entry exam.

To qualify, you must be between the ages of 19 and 34 on the day of the exam. You must live in the City of Buffalo for at least 90 days before the final filing date, and you must have a High School Diploma, GED or Equivalency Diploma.

The deadline for exam registration is May 22. The exam will be held on June 29.

The city is also kicking off a recruitment campaign, aimed at increasing the diversity of candidates.

With the deadline for registration just three weeks away, the Buffalo Police Department Neighborhood Engagement Team will be (weather permitting) recruiting at Delaware Park from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The NET team will be at the basketball courts along Ring Road in Delaware Park.
