Bomb threat was called into Erie County's 911 dispatchers

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Erie County Sheriff's Office says a bomb threat was called into dispatchers at Erie County Central Police Services at 45 Elm Street in Buffalo Saturday.

According to the sheriff's office, the dispatchers received a call at approximately 1:24 p.m. Saturday where an individual made threats that the building was going to explode.

The Erie County Sheriff's Office Bomb Squad and two explosive detection K9 teams searched the building for two hours with negative results.

Deputies ultimately deemed the threat was not credible.

The investigation has been turned over to sheriff's detectives, no further information is available at this time.
