Artist's love of color and Buffalo is revealed in her work

NORTH TONAWANDA, NY (WKBW-TV) — She has a different way of looking things, but then you'd expect nothing less from an artist like Barbara Rickard. Her work showcases her flair for color as well as her whimsical personality.

You may have seen some of Barbara's work already. She has painted a murals in number of establishments around Western New York. She says "I painted a lot of bars on the Chippewa Strip."

Barbara has been working on her Looking Up Series. They are pieces that feature iconic Buffalo buildings and foods. Her latest work is an "Homage to Olmstead" and includes many recognizable features from the parks including Statues and other landmarks.

She sells prints, pillows and note cards and some of her work is on display at River Art Gallery in North Tonawanda. You can get more information at Barbara Rickard's website.
