Move over Thanksgiving. There's another holiday that's creepin' up on the calendar.

Of course we're talking about Christmas. We know were less than two months away from the big holiday. But you can get an early start on your Christmas shopping this weekend at some of the events listed below.

Christmas in the Country

Christmas in the Country is coming back for another year. Pick up a gift or two for yourself at the Hamburg Fairgrounds this weekend. It costs $10 to get in at the door. Parking is free. You can see a list of vendors that will be on hand and a schedule of events by clicking here.

Knox Holiday Arts Show

If you want to get into the holiday spirit, Knox Farm State Park is the place to be this weekend. The Knox Holiday Art Show will take place Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You can find more information here.

Holiday Valley Beer and Wine Festival

Have a brew and take in the powder-packed hills of Holiday Valley for it's Beer and Wine Festival. Over 42 craft brewers will be serving up a wide variety of beers and wines Saturday from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tickets cost $60. If your a designated driver, it only costs $10. You can also grab a bite to eat at the Trucks 'N Brews outside the Tannenbaum Lodge Friday night. The event runs from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and costs $25.

Pops Goes to the Movies

The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra are bringing the movies to you. The orchestra will perform movie soundtrack classics at Kleinhans Music Hall Saturday evening. The concert starts at 8:00 p.m. Tickets start at $29.

2019 WNY Childrens Book Expo

Do you have a favorite childrens book? You and your family can relive some of those memories at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center Saturday. The expo will showcase old and new books written for children along with book signings and presentations. This event goes from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The expo is free to attend. Second Fridays at the Burchfield Penney

Did you know that every second Friday of the month, you can get into the Burchfield Penny Art Center for free? It's located right across the street from the Albright Knox Art Gallery. Enjoy happy hour, music and more. Special programs begin at 5:30 p.m.

Fall Orchid Show

You have a chance to learn a little about indoor gardening at this popular showcase in South Buffalo. Award-winning orchards will be on display at the Buffalo and Erie Botanical Gardens Saturday and Sunday. The Fall Orchid show costs $12.50 for adults, $11 for students and seniors, and $7 for children between the ages of three and twelve. You can find more information about the orchid show here.
