Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Wick Street and Broadway Avenue in Buffalo around 2:45 a.m. Sunday.
Buffalo Police say a 31-year-old man was hit by a car and then taken to ECMC, where he later died.
The driver of the vehicle involved has been identified as Danielle Davis. She reportedly remained on scene and told police that the pedestrian ran out in front of her car. Officers say they saw signs of intoxication and took Davis into custody.
Davis is charged with Vehicular Manslaughter, Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated.
We've learned the victim was Carlos Rodriguez. His fiancée spoke with 7 News on Monday, saying she wanted the father of her children to be remembered for the way he lived.
