Lancaster Police made an adorable rescue over the weekend.  Police got a call that a fawn had been hit by a car on Central Avenue.  The driver left the scene, but other people called police when they saw the baby deer.

Lancaster Police Officer Firestone responded, and saw that the fawn wasn't seriously hurt, and that its mother was nearby.  The officer carried the baby to the woods, and its mother followed.  When he put the fawn down, it ran to its mother and the two ran away together.
