Police in Jamestown want to warn residents about counterfeit money making its rounds in Chautauqua County.
Investigators say phony bills have been seen in denominations of $20 and $100 bills.
Police are urging the community to closely examine their money.
A phony bill was recently used at a Jamestown business that had Chinese markings on it, as well as bills that are marked "FOR MOTION PICTURE USE ONLY."
Use of the bills by a person who knowingly uses them to defraud another is guilty of a felony charge.
Other police departments in Western New York have recently issued warnings in regards to fake money.
Anyone who sees these bills are asked to call police.
