Homeowner puts thousands in the dark

Around 2,000 people were without power in Hamburg Monday afternoon.

The outage lasted between around noon and 4 p.m. National Grid says a homeowner was cutting down a tree and when it fell it took out several lines.

No one was hurt, but it took crews hours to restore power in the area.

Just be thankful it didn't happen later this week, when an Arctic blast hits WNY!
