A job fair to recruit skilled manufacturers is set for November 8 in the Town of Tonawanda.

Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz announced the Tonawanda Manufacturing Job Fair will be held from 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 8 at the Sheridan Parkside Community Center Gymnasium in Tonawanda.

Special outreach is being made to former employees of Tonawanda Coke, which closed last month, and these workers are encouraged to participate in a private job fair from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM before the doors are opened to the public.

Poloncarz will address job seekers and employers at the event, which is being organized by the NYS Department of Labor, the Buffalo and Erie County Workforce Investment Board, and the Town of Tonawanda.

Time: Doors open to public at 11:30 AM (former employees of Tonawanda Coke are encouraged to attend between 10:00 AM – 11:30- AM)
