TCD Medical is looking to more than double its staff.
The company bridges the gap between visits with your primary care doctor.
TCD is contracted by about 10 doctor's offices across western New York to offer both critical care and behavioral health services entirely over the phone. “We're not distracted by different shots and tasks. We're really concentrated on the care over the phone,” TCD Medical Dir. of Nursing, Katie Budzinski.
Currently, it has 27 employees. It's hiring 40 more. Business has only grown since the company opened nearly three years ago. For example, it had 11 behavioral health patients in May, Today, they track about 1,000.
That's why it's looking to hire 20 registered nurses and 20 social workers. Budzinski sites one in five adults suffers from mental illness.
