He's been making pizza for over 50 years

Some customers have been clamoring to Pizza Oven in Niagara Falls since it opened in 1962.

The man behind the pizzas is nicknamed "Farmer" because he "grew up on a farm." His wife started the business using a family recipe and the rest is pizza history.

The pizza has remained the same for half a century. Back in 1962 a slice was priced at 10 cents. The prices have changed but the place itself is the same. They are still using the original pizza ovens and cash register.

They only sell pizza here. No wings, no subs. According to Farmer, his wife's philosophy is "if you do something well, keep doing it."

He's had offers from prospective buyers, but at age 82 with more than 50 years of making pizzas behind him, Farmer says, "What's money? if you like what you do you should keep doing it."

Pizza Oven is located on Niagara Street in Niagara Falls.
