At Nice Ash in Depew, owner Rob Roth thought it would be fun if they could make their own cigars. But he couldn't find anyone locally who could do the job.

Roth's marketing man volunteered to learn and agreed to travel to Nicaragua to learn the process. These days you'll find Greg Corbi in his cozy workroom hand making cigars that bear his name. Corbi said, "It's something unique to Buffalo and to have my name incorporated in the brand of a cigar that's excellent."

His fingers fly through the air with the greatest of ease as he turns out as many as 200 cigars a day. He has created three premium brands and will take his cigar rolling on the road  to weddings and other get-togethers.

Nice Ash sells hundreds of brands, most of them made in Central America, but according to Roth his best sellers are the ones made in house, the Gregorios. "The popularity of the cigars has been remarkable."
