Tom Meyer has a remarkable memory. He has committed to memory 20 books of the Bible - that's about a third of the King James Version.

It began for him as a bored kid in church. "I would just read the stories and was amazed at how beautiful they were and how interesting with just the words themselves," said Tom.

Tom travels the country performing his unique one person show. Generally he presents one book per appearance. His most popular requests are the book of Genesis and Revelation.

He says that his ability to memorize so much material is a gift, but it's also a lot of hard work. He tries to memorize a little bit at a time. It takes him about a whole month to memorize a chapter.

His main mission is to inspire people and he'll be doing just that Wednesday, June 1st at The First Baptist Church of Hamburg at 7pm. The performance is free and open to all denominations.
