As summer draws near, Canalside is getting ready for the warmer months at the waterfront attraction.
The summer season kicks off Friday, May 20 and features paddle boat rentals, free yoga classes, kayaking, summer concerts, food & shopping and plenty of other activities.
Here's a look at some of the rental information courtesy Canalside:
Rentals (Open Memorial Day – Labor Day):
Pedal and Paddle Boat Rentals: Open daily 10am-8pm (weekends only Memorial Day-June 24). For rates and more info, visit http://www.waterbikesofbuffalo.com/contact. Location: Public Canals.
Sail the Canal: Offers remote-controlled sailboat rentals. Open daily 12pm-8pm (weekends only through June). Cost: $11+tax/30 minutes. Location: Public Canals
Blue Bikes: Bicycle rentals for adults and kids presented by BlueCross BlueShield of WNY. Open daily 10am-8pm (weekends only Memorial Day-June 24). Cost: $15/hour, helmets & locks included. BCBS members can present their card for a $5 discount. Location: Public Canals
BFLO Harbor Kayak: offers kayaks and SUP (stand up paddle-board) rentals and tours. Open daily beginning May 20: Mon-Thurs 9am-7pm; Fri-Sun 9am-8pm. For rates and tour info visit bfloharborkayak.com. Location: South end of Central Wharf Boardwalk, near the beach

Tour Boats:
The Spirit of Buffalo topsail schooner offers breathtaking day and evening sails and is available to rent for private events. For tour dates and info visit spiritofbuffalo.com. Location: Central Wharf Boardwalk
Buffalo River History Tours offers boat tours along the Buffalo River, including tours of Buffalo’s Grain Elevators! For rates and tour information visit buffaloriverhistorytours.com. Location: Central Wharf Boardwalk
Ferry Service:
The Queen City Bike Ferry offers bicycle and pedestrian ferry service from Canalside to the Buffalo Outer Harbor for $1 each way! Hours (Memorial Day – Labor Day): Monday-Friday 12pm-8pm; Saturday-Sunday 8am-8pm. Location: Central Wharf Boardwalk
