They are getting ready for the Second Annul Foster Festival in St. Catharines, Ontario. It's a celebration of playwright Norm Foster who has been called a "playwrighting machine". That may be because Norm Foster has had more than fifty plays produced. He says " I started late, I didn't start writing until I was thirty-two, I figured I should work hard to catch up."

Emily Oriold saw one of Norm's early plays "Melville Boys" and it inspired her to create a festival that would celebrate the author's work saying "I instantly became a Foster fan, you laugh, you cry, you're completely moved through the whole thing."

Patricia Vanstone, Foster Festival Artistic Director says the event is "humor with a heart". The festival kicks off June 21st with the World Premiere of Screwball Comedy, one of Norm's latest pieces. He tries to write two plays a year "I keep getting ideas and I have to write them down, I can't help myself."
