Genesee County Sheriff Gary Maha is hanging up his hat at the end of the year.
Maha announced Thursday he will not seek reelection for another term as sheriff when his current term ends on December 31st.
At the end of his term, Maha will have served 28 years as Genesee County Sheriff.
That's the longest tenure of any current county sheriff in New York State.
