Four dogs that killed neighbors' dog in Cheektowaga to be euthanized

Posted at 5:25 PM, Nov 08, 2018

A Cheektowaga Town Justice has ordered four dogs be euthanized for attacking and killing a neighbor's dog last month.

The dogs - a pitbull mix, Mastiff, Husky and Akita - broke through the fence of their owner's home off Borden Road and mauled a seven year-old beagle-pug mix named Pug.

The owner of the dogs, Mohamed Khalil, has 30 days to appeal today's ruling.

“We are very sorry for what happened, we are animal lovers," Khalil told 7 Eyewitness News after the attack. “They’re not even aggressive but I guess it was like a wolf pack instinct you know.”

Pug's owners said the dogs had also broken through the fence in 2015.
