Former Tonawanda Coke employees to get paid

After not receiving their final pay checks earlier this week, former Tonawanda Coke employees should be getting paid today, according to an attorney for the company.

Friday, a bankruptcy court judge authorized Tonawanda Coke to pay all employees - this includes final paychecks, severance, vacation time and benefit contributions.

This comes one day after employees were shocked to learn that their usual direct deposits had not hit their bank accounts. Eyewitness News has been told that those deposits should now happen Friday following the judge's ruling.
