A former Buffalo police officer will likely be spared jail time, when he's sentenced, Monday, on federal civil rights violations.

John Cirulli was recorded kicking and slapping John Willet, during an April arrest.

Willet was handcuffed on the ground during the attack.

Cirulli's resignation was tendered when he pleaded guilty to federal misdemeanor civil rights violations, in May.

Cirulli is set to be sentenced in federal court, in Buffalo, at 11 a.m. Monday.
