A couple of weeks ago the National Tour of "Finding Neverland" loaded their mountains of equipment into Shea's Performing Arts Center. Since then a little magic has happened. They got their act together and are ready to kick off the premiere this week.

Choreographer Mia Michaels says that the rehearsal process has "been a joy. way easier than the Broadway show."

The musical tells the story of how playwright J.M. Barrie found the inspiration for Peter Pan. Coutney Ortiz is in the ensemble. That means she has to sing, dance, act and make it through several quick costume changes. She says "some of them are ten seconds long. The wardrobe and the wigs are amazing and they just make it happen."

It's billed as "Broadway's Biggest New Hit". Tom Hewitt plays the part of Captain Hook. He says "these characters are so iconic, all you have to do is show up with the hook and people know what they're in for."

"Finding Neverland" runs through October 15th. You can find more information at the Shea's website.
