You've been in this situation before. Driving around downtown or the Elmwood Village just to find a parking spot. And the minute you think you have found one, it's either in front of a fire hydrant or somebody has claimed that space.
And with plenty of buildings and attractions going up across the city, the situation may only get worse.

The city changed alternate parking rules for the Elmwood Village this past April to make it easier to find parking. The EV will be adding more parking spots this summer.
Residents living in the Fruit Belt have been frustrated over workers and patients from the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus filling up parking spots in their neighborhood.
Last year, the City of Buffalo and the medical campus announced deal to bring more parking to the area. Authorities announced recently that they have come up with a parking permit system to alleviate this issue.
Ed Reilly is working on this story today and looking into what the city is trying to do to accommodate more parking.
