Throw the calorie counter out the window, it's P?czki Day!
For those who don't know, a p?czki is a Polish pastry filled with a sweet jelly, similar to a donut.

If you're not a jelly fan don't worry, you can also get flavors like Bavarian cream, prune or chocolate.
Traditionally, the pastries are made a few days before Ash Wednesday and celebrate one of the last times to indulge before Lent.
In Western New York you can get p?czkis year-round but on Fat Tuesday they're a staple in thousands of homes.

The Chrusciki Bakey will make and sell more than 10,000 pastries on Tuesday. The bakery says from now through Easter, they will go through a few thousand every day.
